The cockpit that formerly stood in the yard of the Hawk and Buckle Inn at Vale Street, Denbigh and is now located at the St Fagans National History Museum in Cardiff is thought to date from the late seventeenth century.〔(People's Collection Wales: Hawk and Buckle cockpit, Denbigh ). Accessed 6 November 2013〕 It was in a poor state of repair by 1965, when a decision was made to move it to St Fagans.〔(Cockpit - National Museum Wales ). Accessed 6 November 2013〕 The cockpit was opened to the public at St Fagans in 1970. ==References==
